Who's the cutest girl around?

I am a mom of a cutie pie (very biased). And I wanted to share my experiences with others (including my cuties grandparents, great-grandparents, numerous uncles and other relatives). I love being a mom and can't imagine doing anything else.

transfusion

we are going to be having our first (But probably not last) blood transfusion soon. thats the first thing i actually knew what the word ment without explination. I realize i'm going to be come a crazy lady trying to get everyone to donate blood when they come to visit. if it matches her blood type it will be reserved for her, if it doesn't it might save someone elses life. i have never been a blood donater (expect once in high school and that was just to get out of class) and i never truly understood the importance. I always assumed someone else would do it. But it everyone thinks that they there will be no blood to help out. So if I get on your case don't take it personal. I am a mom with no jobs to do right now and need to do anything i can to help my baby.

I always want to explain to anyone that comes to visit some things. This is more for my own good than yours. Its also something that you probably assume. I am very much a fixer. I like to take care of others and make sure everyone else is okay. But right now i can't do that. I end up feeling pretty guilty that I didn't spend enough time with people when they come to visit. I love visitors. They make the day go faster. But know ahead of time that I might not be social. (I know you understand....i'm saying this for me so i'm not constantly apologizing when people are here) I might not even talk at all. But i love the company and it means the world to see a familiar face come out of the elevator. so come visit but don't have any expectations. Thanks

i know there will be more than enough willing people to donate blood. you know i'd be there in a second to give mine, but my doctors won't let me (sorry)...

i'm praying a ton tho. i cannot believe how many saints are sending prayers up to our God. my nana goes to that yellow church downtown, and she does the bulletin... someone @ her church knows your dad, so sent word in to pray for his granddaughter. so not only are all your friends, family and their friends and family praying... but even my grandmother's church! and God hears every single prayer from those He loves.

and don't feel guilty at all. there is absolutely no reason to. you know what you need to focus on, and we all know too.

i'll talk to you soon.
love you,
beth

Hey Emily and James,

Just a quick note to let you know that we are thinking of you. Also, I would love to donate blood for Alivia, but haven't a clue about the process. My blood type is A-, so if that matches in any way...

Also, we are out of town from Thursday to Monday and would love to open our home to friends and family. The cottage will also be available at miscellaneous times. The cottage will sleep 4 to 5 comforatbly and there are 4 bedrooms in the main house. The only unavailable dates for the cottage are this weekend and April 25-30. May is completely open.

We can organize key disbursement through Bill/Cynthia or the Millens.

Wrap your arms tightly around yourself and squeeze.... that's my hug to you. Love ya honey!!

Lynn

Hey there... We have been PRAYING non stop since we heard. Travis and I are praying that the God of all grace will be with you in your need. Psalm 41 this morning says "Psalm 42:6-8 and my God.
My soul is cast down within me;
therefore I remember you...
Deep calls to deep
at the roar of your waterfalls;
all your breakers and your waves have gone over me.
By day the Lord commands his steadfast love, and at night his song is with me, a prayer to the God of my life.

We are praying that God would remind you that in the times you feel swallowed by the waves of what is going on, that HE would remind you that HIS song never stops to bring you comfort and joy. Elisabeth Elliot says from Duet 33:27 "The eternal God is your dwelling place, underneath are the everlastin arms"-- you are never going to drown!
We love you and if you need anything please let us know!

Hi Emily, We don't know eachother but I go to LOLC. I heard about your baby's situation in church and have been praying for you all since. I know a little of what you are going through as my 2nd daughter was diagnosed w/a life threatening kidney disorder when she was seven and a half months old. It was a most difficult and confusing time. We almost lost her but after lots of prayer, 3 major surgeries and much medication, she is now a healthy, married 26 year old. God was very faithful to us and I am trusting that you will know his faithfulness also, and that one day, you will be able to look back on these most difficult times and be able to say that, Alivia is a healthy, young woman who loves and serves our mighty God.
I am praying that Gods peace surrounds you, your husband and your family, and that Alivia (I love that name)will soon be a very healthy and happy child.
Hang in there. God is faithful!!
Praying hard for you!

Hey Haughery Family,

Just wanted to let you know that I've been praying for you and will continue to do so. I'm asking God to give you all His strength to endure during such a difficult time. The Bible says that He is the greatest comforter so I'm asking that He would allow yinz to feel His comfort.

Oh, I have to add to what Beth said about her grandma's church praying - half of Indiana is praying for yinz! Thats what happens in a small town with VERY PROUD (in a good way), grandparents live!

love yinz,
Maureen

Emily and James, I have only met you both briefly. I attend Chesapeake Community Church in Joppa, MD. We have quickly passed word about your daughter, in order to lift her (and you) up before the throne. When there are no words, remember that He has each of your tears written on His scroll (Ps. 56:8); He draws near to the brokenhearted (Ps. 34:18); He gives strength to the weary (Isa. 40:29). With many prayers,
Libby and Miguel Barowski

Emily & James,
We have been praying for you both and baby Alivia!!! Especially for His healing and grace during this time. If there is anything you need please let me know. We would love to donate blood. I was wondering what Alivia's blood type was. I am AB- (which is very rare) and Scott is A+. I think of you three all day and am praying without ceasing! He loves each of you and is in control of every test being done. Draw near to Him for he is the great comforter!! You are a great mommy as I have seen by your example at church and I want you to know that!!! Your love and the love of James is an amazing bond you have with Alivia and just your touch will be very healing to her! God bless all three of you!

I am Lyndons mother, Karlyn, and I want you to know that I am praying along with my daughter and church in Connecticut. My grandson, Lyndons nephew, was born with many medical issues and we know how difficult this time of uncertainty is. Gods promises are real. Lean heavy. We would like to help in any way we can. Let us know. We will be pounding the throne of God with little Alivia and her needs. He is faithful.
Love in Jesus

Emily, I'm sure that you are a weary mom without much sleep. As far as I can see you have a million questions (what person wouldn't?), but remember to praise God in the midst of your trials. He's good, knew this would come about, planned it to give himself glory, and desires your faith in it. Be strong- but seek your strength in Jesus.

Psalm 103 says: "Praise the LORD, O my soul; all my inmost being, praise his holy name. Praise the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits- who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion, who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle's." We're praying for Livi's health and life in Christ.

On a humorous note, we've noticed that Aaron hasn't caught the house on fire yet, and we're having fun watching your mom's daffodils.

Much love,
Chris and Steph Freeman
