Who's the cutest girl around?

I am a mom of a cutie pie (very biased). And I wanted to share my experiences with others (including my cuties grandparents, great-grandparents, numerous uncles and other relatives). I love being a mom and can't imagine doing anything else.

Day +1

I know its late but I made the mistake of taking a nap today and so I'm not tired at all. I'm sure I will be tomorrow. There is something really peaceful about our room at night. I could probably stay up all night but that wouldn't be good for anyone.
Alivia spent most of the day asleep. She woke up at 8:30, fell back asleep at 11, slept till 4:30, went back to sleep a little after 6, slept for maybe an hour or so and then went to sleep again at 10:30ish. Funny even though she slept so much I still got a lot of really cute pictures. They started IV nutrition today for which I am very thankful. She has not eaten more than 2 ounces of formula or a saltine since Monday. Otherwise...there is no real news (just a good old fashion boring day!! woo hoo) so I'll just explain a few pictures and leave it at that.

Here is Alivia helping Daddy pick what to get for dinner. She had a very clear opinion based on the pictures and it was really cute.

Here she is doing what she did best today...sleeping. Notice the clasped hands. That is how she sleeps almost always.

We spent some time putting glow in the dark stickers on paper for the end of her bed. Then we put them on Alivia's fingernails. Here she is showing them off.

Gigi and Livi spent some time trying on hats. My Aunt Kathy made a much for Alivia to wear when her hair falls out. Dont' they look sweet. One of these days we'll let Gigi take off her mask...but since the White Blood Cells were only .7 today we're not taking any chances.

Finally, here is Livi and Pa putting band-aids on Snowball the kitty. He needed a whole lot and Dr. Livi got right on it. He's feeling much better now.

Alivia did throw up 5 or 6 times today. Even with the medicine she still got sick. Also she might be developing some of the Redman Syndrome (you turn red and itch when you take one of the antibiotics). Please pray this won't happen anymore. It really bothers her. Also pray that they are better able to handle her nausea. Also please pray all of the adults (James, Gigi, Pa, Nan and I) stay healthy so we are able to continue to care for Alivia.

Thanks to Jim and Jean Rickard for the sweet card.

We still seem to be missing some important people from the wall of pictures...like ALL of her uncles...What's going on? If you see an Uncle of hers feel free to bug them about it. At least Matt sent pictures of his kids.

Better go to bed...especially since the clocks change soon.

Thank you for (another!) wonderful update. So happy to see that things are still going well. It has to be such a blessing to have so many loving people who are there to help keep Livi amused too! Praying for health and strength for all of you. Hope YOU are getting some good rest too, Emily!
God bless -

Carrying Livi on our hearts and in our prayers. So glad God is holding her in the palm of His hand.

(Couldn't help noticing the blanket under the clasped hands. ...Go Eagles!)

The way Livi sleeps with her hands clasped is precious. I love the pictures. I pray for you all everyday, so is everyone I know. I get calls, "How is Livi?". She is famous in Western PA. The power of the internet....The power of prayer. I love seeing her in all those little hats. I enjoyed seeing each one as my mother made them. So glad Livi likes them. Love to all!

Oh, sweet little one. I know exactly what she is going through. I always react to the Vanc, too. Running it slower usually helps. I just wanted you to know that you are all in our thoughts and prayers.
