Day +32
Livi seems to have come through today well. She had to be intubated. But she came out of anesthesia well enough. It was a little uncomfortable because she had to wear her mask while coming out of anesthesia because they had no sterile room for her to recover in. Its amazing how little ability they had to protect her from germs while in recovery. They are most definelty not prepared for immune suppressed people in surgery recovery. Her nap was short so we are hopeing she will hit the hay early. I didn't sleep so well last night and could use some sleep. In general not a horrible day. Any day when your kid has to be under anesthesia is not a great day but it turned out well.
Night terrors are definetly one of the possibilites for why she isn't sleeping well. My brother had them when I was growing up so I definetly have some experience with it. And he didn't have any traumatic hospital stays to draw from. Also steriods can increase them. We are still going to try to rule every other possibility out to be sure we aren't missing anything.
Her WBC's are slowing rising on their own. This is the hope and we are glad to see them coming up on their own. Two days ago they were 1.7 and today they were 4.4. Hopefully they will continue to rise and be the right kind of WBC's.

Yes! So glad I made one last check before bed!
I am amazed and concerned at the surgery recovery conditions at a teaching hospital like Hershey. How good it is to trust a God who makes us more amazed and never concerned.
We are all anxious to hear the results of today's procedure, and praying hard against GVHD.
It is great to see smiles from Alivia and great to see James in the picture.
ditto!! grateful for the good news and praying for restful, peaceful sleep for everyone in no. 7260!
Great to see pictures and get a good report on the day. I will sleep better tonight knowing she did okay with her procedure today. I hope you get some sleep tonight too, Emily!
Alivia, you're precious! Hugs and kisses (that are completely germ free)
Love,
Julie
God Love You -- I pray for restful sleep tonite--
My best to you always

PRAYERS TO ALL
Umm...what's with the anonymous comment that seems to question your accuracy and honesty because you didn't tell which brother had the night terrors? Does it really matter? We should all just be thankful you post anything for us to read at all. You don't owe any of us any of this information. Thanks for always being so willing to share your life...no matter how many details you choose to share (or not share).
Dear Emily, Don't let that comment upset you, especially with all you are going through. There are all kinds of people (lost) in the world and who don't have a clue about things. Pray for them. ~Perhaps you heard of a girl, Whitney Cerak, from Taylor University (Christian college) who was in a bad accident along with other Taylor students and staff in April of 2006. She was on the news, etc. because there was a "mistaken" identity with her "death" and while she lay in a coma. Well, her family started a wonderful blog that kept people posted on Whitney and, I might add, witnessed to hundreds or thousands of people....www.whitneycerak.blogspot.com ~But, her family, too, had some absolutely horrible comments (much worse than yours). Her parents just "rode it out" and the comments ended. However, you never know how that person might have had some seeds planted because of how they handled the blog and how they used the blog as a testimony of the Lord and His goodness. Don't allow this person to get to you.....allow the Lord to work in his/her heart. God bless you and keep you. And, God bless little Alivia and God heal her! Keep looking to Jesus in all of this.
I am glad you had a good day! I loved all the pics!!! She still looks so cute, even with the mask on. I will keep you in my prayers.
love,
moriah
Emily, I didn't have a chance to post this morning, but saw your earlier blog (and all the support). I PRAY that this "person" (not the word I want to use) will not keep you from continuing to post. I check your blog first thing every morning when I get to work. It is so helpful to have specific prayers for Livi. However, that being said, I can only imagine how difficult the road you are traveling is and if continuing this blog is too much, I would understand. Alivia will remain in my prayers with or without the blog. I cried when I read that IGNORANT post! Honestly I don't understand how people can be so cruel.
I will continue to pray for you for strength. Just remember that you are SURROUNDED by people who truly care about your family and prayer warriors who would NEVER doubt your integrity or honesty. And we all truly care about you and Livi!!!
My heart aches for you - this is NOT what you need on top of everything. I continue to pray for Livi's speedy recovery and her daily battles.
God bless all of you!!!
Warmly,
Vicki Moore
PS - It was WONDERFUL to see Livi's beautiful smile again!!!! Thank you for the pictures!!!!

Emily, you do not know me but I have been following your little girl's story for a while now always hesitant about leaving a message. What a precious little girl and what a strong family she has. I have been praying for you all and Alivia. Vince Felizzi gave me the webs sight to follow, I believe he attends your church. You have been a blessing to me and I am so glad to know you even if it is just from the blog. What prompted me to let you know I am here reading was that hateful, hurtful, negative person who wrote that rediculous comment about the night terrors. It doesn't matter which brother it was! And what does honesty even have to do with it, you were just commenting that you had a brother who experienced the same thing. I don't know what would prompt someone to respond in such a way, it really didn't make sense. Be strong in God and keep the faith.
Peggy
Emily, I worked with Peggy that sent you a comment earlier and I agree with her, it is so shameful to have people like that in the world. I look forward every day to your blog and news about Alivia and my thoughts are with your family always.
Danielle
Praying for you, especially that you can get some much needed rest. I wonder if the night terrors are a side effect of some medication -- I struggled with that as well, so I will especially pray for Livi in that regard.
God is good! I'm glad to hear Alivia came through ok. Thank the Lord. And thanks for the pictures - she is such an adorable, sweet baby girl!
praying...
Psalm 40:11
As for you, O Lord, you will not restrain your mercy from me; your steadfast love and your faithfulness will ever preserve me!
YEAH for good things and such sweet pictures! Prayers for you all as always! Love, Jessica
I am praying for you!! I pray that you will get a good nights sleep tonight. Praying for healing for Alivia.

p.s. heard that there was some drama here at some point. sorry to hear that and hope that you don't allow negativity to discourage you. hard as it might be when you are feeling weak and weary, just let it bounce off you.
p.p.s. i'm assuming that the current comments about which brother had the night terrors are from your silly brothers. :)
Though the sleep isn't what you would call adequate, for Livi or you, I loved her song the other night when she was supposed to be going to sleep :). "Mama, mama, mama with even a little tune to it!
Thanks for the cutie pics!!! Love them! Thanks for the update! Hope today was a good day, too.
I love the Alivia blog and if you never posted again I would either a. stop blogging...which the world might be thankful for, but I would be properly bored.
b. go crazy and maybe show up at the door to Alivia's room with maybe a Chic-Fil-A chocolate milkshake...you'll let me in for sure then, right?
c. Hire investigators to find out who all of the anonymous commenters are out there and that would get expensive and I get angry when I'm out of money.
So, long story short, we love you guys AND Alivia and need these updates regularly. PS, aren't we due for another update?
Love,
Beth Young who is friends with your friend Briana Alemengor in Maryland. www.bethyoung.wordpress.com
