Who's the cutest girl around?

I am a mom of a cutie pie (very biased). And I wanted to share my experiences with others (including my cuties grandparents, great-grandparents, numerous uncles and other relatives). I love being a mom and can't imagine doing anything else.

It's that time again....

This year I am the team captian for a Relay for Life team. We will be walking for 24 hours on June 6th and 7th. Okay so each of us might not be walking the full 24 hours but our team will be. This will be our first Relay and I'm excited to be part of it. All the money we raise goes to the American Cancer Society. If you are thinking of making donations this year consider sponsoring out team. Any checks can be made out to The American Cancer Society and mailed to us at Lovely Ladybugs, PO Box 374, Brownstown, PA 17508 or click here and donate online. Also if you would like to fund raise at your place or work or your school consider planning a dress down day where everyone pays $1-$5 and gets to dress down for the day. Or seeing if you can have a baseball cap day at school where each kid pays a dollar to wear a baseball cap to school.

Also if you would like to purchase a Luminaria in honor of someone you know that has died from cancer you can do so. They cost $10 and I will let you know what information you need to include with the purchase. I still need to request the forms and then I will have more information.

We are also doing Light the Night again this year. Light the Night is to benefit the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. For that we aren't asking for monetary donations. Instead we are going to hold a giant garage sale Saturday, August 2nd at our house. Before that date we will have two seperate donation days where we will go to the parking lot of Giant/ AC Moore and take donations of items to sell at the garage sale. My parents will be taking donations from people in Indiana or Pittsburgh and then bringing them to my house. Also we will take baked goods the day before at my house. So keep checking back for the dates.

Please consider donating to either or both causes. Finding a cure for cancer and leukemia would change/ save so many lives.

Emily, I don't know you at all, but you amaze me. You gave of yourself so selflessly to Livi while she was sick... and you haven't stopped. I wish I could have known your sweet girly; if she was anything like her mama, I'm pretty sure she was a spectacular little lady.

See you on the track! Last year I walked proud in honor of Alivia. This is year I will walk proud in her memory and that of a close friend's dad who just died two weeks ago. Anything we can do to claim this disease and support those fighting it is a must. You are an inspiration. It is an amazing event.

Praying on,
Anne

PS - Love the garage sale idea - I will absolutely help you out!

God bless you for the work you are doing, Emily!
I've given to the L&L Society for years...since I've had Hodgkin's.

Still Praying.

So glad that you do the Lymphoma walk! I've walked for the last few years in honor of my mom! They gave her six months... I've now had her for 19 years! AMAZING what research and trial experiments can do... Thank you so much for walking, collecting money, etc. I check your website often and pray for you and Alivia (what a beautiful baby!)

I am interested in the luminaria's. I came across your blog just weeks before Alivia went home to be with the lord. Having an almost 3 year old and now 1 year old..my heart ached for you and your family. My prayers go out to you family. My aunt just passed away 2 weeks ago from cancer... so i would like to purchase a Luminaria in honor of all of those who have lost the battle.

Emily,

I know your grief is unimaginable for most of us, but I have been following another mom who lost her sweet baby this past year too. I thought maybe her journey could give you comfort. Her story is at ellieskees.blogspot.com. Know you are prayed for.
