Who's the cutest girl around?

I am a mom of a cutie pie (very biased). And I wanted to share my experiences with others (including my cuties grandparents, great-grandparents, numerous uncles and other relatives). I love being a mom and can't imagine doing anything else.

Hospital here we come

We are leaving for the hospital in 10 min but I wanted to quickly write the normal levels for blood cells so that you can follow along with us and see how the drugs work.

Hemaglobin (Hgb) 11-14 (our last reading 8.0)
Hematocrit (Hct) 32-44 (our last reading 25.3)
White Blood Cells (WBC) 6-11 (thousand) (our last reading 138.7)
Red Blood Cells (RBC) 4.0-5.8 (our last reading 2.97)
Plateletes (PHs) 140-340 (our last reading 126)

so you can see we are out of wack. Hopefully the numbers will start to come back into line. That is the goal. I am going to try to list the CBC for each day.

Take care.

thanks for today...
To Leslie and Beth for faithfully commenting and reminding me that someone is still out there reading. You girls bless me again and again. Love you tons.

I woke up this morning thinking & praying for Livi. I pray that these next couple of days in the hospital you are able to focus on your little girl. Without the immediate distractions, of caring for your house, errands, & meals, I pray that God gives you strength & joy in taking care of Livi. We pray that you will all come home quickly & that the meds do their job without making Alivia feel too yucky!
Love & prayers,
Brandi K. & family

I'm still checking your blog a few times a day and praying as often as I can. Thanks for being so specific in this entry. It's so good to know all the specifics to pray for. Most of all, I'm still praying for total healing for little Livi and for peace and comfort for you and your family. I pray you will be greatly aware of God's grace these next few days. Blessings~

We'll be praying! So I guess the chocolate cake didn't cure things, huh? I thought chocolate was the cure for EVERYTHING! Maybe you guys just need to eat more of it. (ha ha!) We love you guys!

Thanks for the CBC lesson. It is helpful in understanding Livi's situation. I'm sure you guys are learning so much about our miraculously formed bodies! We take our health for granted! God was so detailed when he created us. With that same attention to detail He has promised to take care of Livi. (& you & James)

Matthew 6:26 "Look at the birds of the air....your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?
verse 28-30 "Consider the lilies of the field....if God so clothes the grass of the field, will he not much more clothe you?"

I pray that God will show you His provision in every detail & need. I am challenged in the way that you always find joy in the "little things" Those are gifts from above!
LOVE YOU LOTS!

Hi Emily, Livi, and family,

Just a line to let you know, so many of us pray for you, even those you barely know!

For every one who posts, writes, or sends a card, I wish you all could see the many more who also lift Alivia up and pray for healing, relief of pain, gentle hands from doctors and nurses, wisdom for all of you about pain medication, and more and more. How can God be so great that He sends so many to pray? How could the Shepherd have cared as much about His little lost one as the other 99 put together?

I speak Spanish, so I always think about how the word Alivia means "Relieve" (also, kind of like soothe)--you probably know that, right? May God relieve Alivia of her illness soon, and use her to relieve the burdens of many many others in this life.

God bless,
Susan Kanter

HIi guys. I'm praying for you all. God brings you and Alivia to my mind often - when I'm driving, or cleaning the house, or whenever--and it shows me that He is thinking of her and has her close to His heart, because He is prompting many people to pray. Isn't He kind. Loved the C.S. Lewis quote--how very, very true. Love, Lynne B.
