I am a mom of a cutie pie (very biased). And I wanted to share my experiences with others (including my cuties grandparents, great-grandparents, numerous uncles and other relatives). I love being a mom and can't imagine doing anything else.Day +34
Livi's tests for GVHD all came back negative.
Her stool tests also came back negative for any viruses, bacterial infections or parasites.
We have to switch one very important med to oral (and get the levels perfect) and then we will be discharged early next week to the apartment here in Hershey. Pray that she can keep the medicine (which smells like skunk and has to be oral not through the NG tube) down and that the levels are easy to regulate.

Yum--skunk medicine! Oh, poor Livi. Just you mentioning the skunk smell brings up that terrible odor, as if there is a skunk right here.
So, do you feel good that you will soon be out of that room, even if you can't go straight to you house? Whenever I drive by your place I think it is looking so great! It will be such a special treat in so many ways when you do get to go home.
I'm glad to hear it was all good news today. We are always praying! Hope you can get some sleep tonight.

I like the smell of skunk so hopefully Livi has this same weird trait as me and as joe.karen said it will taste like cake to Livi.

I'm sure it seems like an eternity to you, but it's hard to believe that you're at "+34" days. You've done such a magnificent at keeping us right up to date, which we need so much.
I'm praising Him today that the tests came back negative! And I'm incredulous that you guys are even talking about discharge. I'm sure that you're so, so ready--- and yet it must be scary, at the same time.
