Who's the cutest girl around?

I am a mom of a cutie pie (very biased). And I wanted to share my experiences with others (including my cuties grandparents, great-grandparents, numerous uncles and other relatives). I love being a mom and can't imagine doing anything else.

Day +82

If you have visited us you know that Livi (and the rest of us) have fallen in love with another patient named Jackson. He is just the sweetest kid. It is always a highlight of our day to get to see him. They get each other presents and make each other cards. It is too cute.

I am writing now to ask you to pray for Jackson. He has a staph infection and has had a pretty terrible 2 days. Pray that his fever will break, that he will breath more easily and that he will stop throwing up. Pray for peace for his parents. We love Jackson and can't wait to play in the play room with him again soon.

Small update on Livi....she is doing pretty well today. Preliminary tests show no signs of GVHD. THey still are goign to send them to Seattle where they found the GVHD last time. Her WBC's are much more normal. Her kidney and liver functions are normal. It has been a better day. Tomorrow is Rituximab day so it may be tough again but it was nice to have a stable day.

Thanks to...

Sue Forrey
for the cards.

Praise God for those preliminary tests! Please tell Livi that even grown-ups don't do too well with NG tubes. Tommy fought his yesterday, and now it's in and working just fine. Emma calls it the booger catcher :) There's a lot of hurry-up-and-wait time in the hospital, and in a way, Tommy's stay is a blessing b/c I've had more time than ever to pray for Livi. She is heavy on my heart. Praying that you have some more good days ahead, that Livi will have some cool playdates in the toy room, and that ALL results will be negative! Love you, Beth

Jackson is on the list.
So relieved to hear today was a little better. Can't wait to hear more good news. Throughout all of this I am amazed by many things from you, but how well you can give us the facts so clearly in such a trial is something. Please know that it isn't just daily, it is hourly you are thought of. Tonight we finished our dinner prayers and my 3 year old said "Wait, no one is allowed to eat until we pray for Alivia."
Thank you God for a better day.

We, too, pray for Livi multiple times a day as a family and then I pray silently all day long for her and for all of you. We will pray with you and thank God with you for a better day. I'm so glad things were more stable today and we will be praying for nothing less than a miracle for tomorrow and the next day and the next day. And, that little sweetie, Jackson, is going to be receiving such mercy, too, as you have so thoughtfully enlisted hundreds, maybe thousands of people to be praying for him too.

We love you so much.

I will definitely pray for Jackson.

But I must also cheer God and thank Him for a stable day for you guys. That is an answer to my prayers. Of course I am praying for, and believing, that complete healing is coming - but I also just prayed for you guys to get a break, a respite, a breather, a moment. I just want to thank God for that, an pick right back up with my prayers for healing. God bless you guys,

Dear James and Emily,

My heart is heavy for all of you. Yes, I have been praying for Jackson, too. Yesterday was Alivia's great granddaddy Bill's birthday. Perhaps he had a word with the Almighty to help Alivia and you have a better day. I remember how my brother hated that NG tube. Praise God for each sign of improvement. Love to all. FAB and FUD

PRAISE GOD!!!! It was the first thing I said when I read her update. How wonderful to hear that she had a better day!! We are storming heaven for Livi and are being heard!! I pray that she will continue to progress positively and that "home" will be in sight soon!!!
I will most definitely pray for Jackson's recovery and the return of "playdates" with Livi!! I'm sure those interactions with him help her tremendously!!
My thoughts and prayers are with you,

Hi, you don't know me but I feel as if I know your family. I am a friend of Beth Chase. I can't tell you how much your family is on my mind and in my prayers. We added sweet Livi to our prayer chain at church. I don't think I have ever prayed so hard for anyone. She is a gift from God and it's in his hands. I am so glad you had a better day yesterday. God Bless.

Thank you Lord for answering the prayers of your people! You are so faithful to us, and we are but dust. Your love is amazing. Lord, we all join our prayers together to ask for a double miraculous healing ... for Livi and for Jackson. You alone know what they each need physically. You are the God Who Heals. Heal them, Lord. Let Your Name be glorified and praised forever. Amen. Janet S.

Just wanted you to know that Lily (my 2 year old)has a favorite word ... it is "Baby". She says Baby about 100 times a day. Many times when she says "Baby", I will say, "Let's pray for Baby Livi ..." and we will pray. Lily prays too (she must have her own prayer language) and then she claps rather than saying Amen. I like her version of 'saying Amen' better than mine, so I clap too. And, the whole little thing gives me the hope that someday soon you will be doing this with Livi. My heart aches for you. But hang on to the Lord. He is faithful. Love, Janet S.

Thank you for the updates of Livi's test results. I was praying for her earnestly this week. (And you all, too.) I would encourage you to read the psalm that matches the day # of your hospital stay. (ie. Ps 85 or 91 or whatever). I asked the Lord to bring Livi outof the hospital and to her home by the time you get to the end of Psalms ends (150). That's my faith prayer for you.
