Who's the cutest girl around?

I am a mom of a cutie pie (very biased). And I wanted to share my experiences with others (including my cuties grandparents, great-grandparents, numerous uncles and other relatives). I love being a mom and can't imagine doing anything else.

In the Hospital

Here is the CBC for today.

WBC- 178.8 (up a bit from last week obviously)
Hgb- 8.3
Hct- 27.0
RBC- 3.09
Plts- 81

We started on steriods and fluids tonight and we will start the Hydroxyurea tomorrow. They don't want to start it during the night just in case she has a bad reaction. She did a really good job today. Even let the doctors listen to her heart. Usually she freaks the second anyone gets near her. Guess she's getting used to it all...not sure thats a good thing.

We are in the very first room on the hall (7251...I think) its not bad but a bit loud. We did get a glider so that is nice. Hopefully everyone will settle down and we can get some rest tonight. Tomorrow is a big day.

Pray that
...we all get some sleep
...that she reacts well to the chemo tomorrow
...that the numbers start to get more normal

they don't know if the chemo will fix the problem or if it will just regulate. They say that a person can live on this med for a long time and just maintain. I guess that at some point it can become an Acute leukemia. Pray that doesn't happen. I have to go to bed. My brain is starting to freeze up.

Thanks for today
My parents for being here all day and bringing such fun toys
James for working so hard
Bill, Cynthia, John and Chris for visiting
Cards from Rachel (I laughed so hard.. I sure miss you girl...I could use a good laugh)
Lynn and Denny Templeton (the card and gift...so sweet)
Rod and Ellen Ruddock for the card.

thanks for your prayers. They mean so much.

Hey Emily and James,

Aaron and I are thinking about Alivia and you guys all the time. It's nice being at Mom and Dad's because they have pictures of her all over the place, and we remember even more to pray for her. We are excited to see you guys sometime this weekend!

love, Andrew

I traded off w/ Lawrence tonight, so I'm home alone. Tucker is with at a friend's house.
I prayed so many times for you today and just about 5 minutes ago sat on the floor in my quiet house and cried my eyes out for both of us....(Judah's not the only one who needed to relieve some built up pressure!)

Love you so much and will continue to be praying for ya'll and your little ladybug. Hope your hospital stay is brief this go around.

When/If it gets to the point where you'll be making a trip to Hopkins, get in touch w/ me. I have friends who live within walking distance from the hospital (he's a ped. resident at Hopkins) who offered their home to you. They'll be gone all of June, so if you came then, you'd have their entire, very beautiful home to yourselves. Just let me know, and I'll make the connections for you.

Praying you are seeing many ways God is pouring out His love and mercy upon your lives today.

emily-
good morning and i pray that you got sleep last night and that there were not to many interuptions. I am praying that God will give you his strength for today! strength to hold onto God's truth, to be able to listen to all the doctors reports, to continue to care for alivia as treatment starts, peace to guard your heart from fear, and to continue to have patience and energy. when talking to my mom (who is also praying)about alivia she stated that God is about mighty things and showing himself in mighty ways and she sees Him growing you and james in your faith in Christ. faith is worship to the Lord!
love you~jamie

Prayed for a good rest last night...hope you were able to do so. We are constantly praying for Livi.
Please let us know how long the docs think you guys might be there...maybe we can stop in this weekend for a visit. You could also let us know if you need anything...we could bring it up for you!!!
NOt only are we praying for Livi, but praying for your and James' hearts as well. I am sure that your hearts are just getting beat up through this. I am continually amazed at the abudant outpouring of God's grace in your lives and the amazing strength it has produced in you and James.
Praying all day.....
