Market
Last night was so so so bad. She woke up every 45 min crying in pain. Another molar on the other side (took me till 3 am to realize). Finally gave her a whole dose (I'm wild I know) of tylenol and ora gelled her entire mouth. And we got sleep. Poor munchin. Such a normal little girl. God obviously lets us get teeth as children since we won't remember it. Can you imagine an adult getting their teeth in....oh the whining that would cause. Kids are so much more resilient than us adults. They can bounce back from liver biopsies and be happy kids the same day.
We went to market even with a little drizzle. Livi had a good time and now is taking a nap...I should probably be doing that too...but I'm waiting till her afternoon nap to take one. Its a good napping day. We're having some friends over tonight. I'm very excited.
Pray for...
...the chemo to work
...my neck. I did something to it in the hospital and it has been stiff every since. I keep reinjuring it somehow.

I'll be praying that Monday's blood work evidences progress. I'm so excitied about how you make the most of the moments in life. For your neck, you might want to alternate between hot and cold compresses. I'll be praying for your comfort
Hi Sweetie , I went to yard sails without mom/gigi.Not the same.Cut it short after finding a few records and buying mom some stuff.Going to market with Livi sounds like a whole lot more fun.You are never far from my thoughts and prayers (... without ceasing). Give the little talula baby a smile and gentle squeeze from me.Make it a big hug for James. Love, Dad/Grandpa
i hope mondays blood work goes smoothly. i am praying that the chemo starts to work. thank you for all the updates they are really helpful with knowing what to pray for and stuff. keep your eyes fixed on the Lord. He will not leave your side.
Have a wonderful day!

i've been praying for you. i'm sorry last night was so hard. but the fact that you are here, today, proves our Savior's constant faithfulness.
"But this I call to mind, and therefore I have hope: The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness." [Lamentations 3:21-23]
Hope you get a chance to nap (it's getting about that time, although i bet your schedule is different since the last time i saw you) and love you so much. Kisses for Livi and hugs for you and James...
Beth
I am so excited for you to have company...I know you love it! Good for you. I wondered about that neck, heat would be more comforting, but if something is inflammed...it could take awhile to get back to "normal". Oh oh, that word again! Ibuprofen is good for inflammation, or change your pillow...you probably slept at an odd angle and with that cold air duct blowing on you all night. Well, even asprin may help. Dad printed me a big pic of you and Livi going down the slide, I love it. The sun is actually out, and Andrw went jogging. I will be cooking soon, chicken on the grill...I wish you were here to eat with us...but I hope your company is way more fun than us. Hey, spoke with Bri today, she again mentioned the folks who have offered their home in Baltimore during June. We could all go, it could be our vacation. Real close to Hopkins, etc. I think we should see Arcici, is that still on? Okay, I am babbling now, how unusual for me. Have fun at the church extravaganza picnic, running in chuck holes, etc. Love you, MOM
i pray for a good, sweet sleep tonight.
love you,
beth
Hey Emily:
I am a distant cousin of James' on the Haughery side...I think I tried to explain the relationship to people once at a family wedding and it was really funny..I believe we are third double cousins to be exact.:-)
I got a letter from Margot about the half marathon today. I just want you all to know that you are in our thoughts and prayers. I have a little one that isn't much older than Alivia and I know this must be very hard on all of you, but you are a living demonstration of God's grace through all of this.
Love,

Hey Emily,
Hope you are having a great weekend. Molars! She's growing up! I just wanted to let you know I'm still praying and thinking of you guys often. I don't have a computer now so internet access is limited. I feel really disconnected 'cause when I could I would check your blog at least twice a day. I went through withdrawl but now that I can check I'm blessed to read your updates and thoughts. Thanks for writing.
I was thinking about Psalm 23 today, "The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not be in want. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he restores my soul...
8 Surely goodness and mercy follow me all the days of my life."
Never is there a day or a moment when God is not going before you and with you and behind you, pouring out his goodness and mercy on you. good days and bad days alike are all the goodness and mercy of our loving Father who knows what's best for his precious children.
Love you, Emily.

The Burke Bowdens are praying for you every day. You are on the top of the list. I know that God hears every one of all the prayers that are sent up by so many.

I am praying for you guys sooooooooo much. I hope your neck feels better soon. Missed you at church. I pray that the chemo will start kicking in to gear and will be successful. Have a great day in the Lord, and try to relax for just 5 minutes!
Love ya guys,
moriah
Thanks to Margot and Chuck (and the HS) for the great idea of the marathon - I just love my family! what did I ever do to deserve such a wonderful cluster of people? Thank you, Jehovah, your grace is overwhelming. We ask and keep on asking for the holy Hand of God to heal and protect Alivia, and we believe and do not doubt that it is being done.

“My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
[2 Cor. 12:9]
hi emily! i just had neck issues the other week. OUCHIE! yes, i did heat and cold. and try to sleep on your back, or the side with a good firm pillow...no belly sleeping! actually ended up going to the chiropractor, i think that helped. ANYWAY, enough advice. 'twas good hanging with you guys. thanks for that. many thoughts are with you. xoxo
Em,
It was great to see you today, if only from a distance. Hug that little girl and never let go! Your blogs are so heart-felt and sweet. Thanks for keeping everyone updated. And, we're right up the road if you need us. Don't ever hesitate to call. We'd do anything for you guys. Certainly you can count on the fact that we will be faithfully praying!
Julie
