Who's the cutest girl around?

I am a mom of a cutie pie (very biased). And I wanted to share my experiences with others (including my cuties grandparents, great-grandparents, numerous uncles and other relatives). I love being a mom and can't imagine doing anything else.

Surgery update part 2

Alivia did so well. She is the greatest. I am so amazed by her strength and resiliance. (its been a long day forgive the spelling). We got to see her around 5 (I think) and she had just gotten some Morphine but she was so happy to see us. We calmed her down and the meds did too. Our nurse is great. Thanks Meg for being so kind. We were supposed to go to the Intermediate Unit but it was too busy so we are spending the night in the surgery recovery room..which let me tell you is a blessing! We are the only ones there so it is quiet, we have our own little room, I get to stay and we have our own personal nurse. So I can sleep knowing she is going to be watched like a hawk. What a great mercy for this super tired mom. Going to go back to Alivia just didn't want to leave everyone hanging over night. Thanks for all of you prayers and encouraging words. Thanks to Doug, Ethan, Abby Plank, Pete Privitera, and Uncle John for visiting today. Its always so nice to see friendly faces and a good distraction from the bigger things going on.

For all you late night and early morning bloggers...I just left the girls' room and they are doing fine. After struggling with a chase lounge for some time the nurses rolled in a real bed and it looks like Emily will get some sleep.Sweet little Alivia is resting comfortably with some medicine assistance.Pretty amazing considering the past 20 hours. As always God has been Good,Merciful,Loving and Powerful. Please take a minute to thank a wonderful Saviour and Lord. A Grateful Grandpa, Dave P.S. 3 pees in the last couple of hours!!! A very good thing. Pray for a quick recovery, into a nice room,a low grade fever to go away.Thank you, we feel your love and prayers.

Is it just me or does it seem that the Lord is showing some extra favor lately in little ways, concerning Alivia? Just when we need it most too. I wonder if He is yet going to perform an outright miracle even at an "eleventh hour" when your fears intensify and the transplant is looming and the weight of it all just crushes you. You "know" that He wont give you more than you can bear but youre thinking, I passed that point a long time ago, so what gives? I can't help hoping and asking Him to deliver Livi from this disease altogether. Maybe through a transplant but maybe in some other unexpected way. Maybe soon! Maybe further down the road. That is a dream come true that is probably as hard to imagine now as it was to imagine this nightmare a year ago. Real life is so odd. I realize it is hard to embrace hope when the despair is IN YOUR FACE, so if you can't, I'll hope and keep asking for that miracle.
"O God, may it be so! You have brought us to a place where we would not dare and could not bear to live one moment without You, a place of acute awareness of your presence, your care, your strength that holds all things, our very lives together in one piece somehow even as they fall apart. Can't explain it, just know it. Can this be enough that we have learned the lesson? Can we be done now? Amen."
Love you,
Aunt Marcy
PS You know, the times when you can do nothing but dissolve in a puddle and you feel kind of like you are liquid instead of solid (do you know this experience?) that is you being poured out as a living sacrifice to God and He is pleased and accepts the offering. Not that it helps, except to just realize it.

Yahoo! You may think you have passed the point of what you could bear but you are still going! You can make it a lot further than you think. Just a few more hills in this marathon! Alivia is up for it! Bless her little heart. She's a tough little fighter! We are all so proud of her (and you Emily and James). God is answering prayer. What would we be without Him?

We are on the sidelines of your life cheering, Love, Aunt Cheryl

Woohoo! I love all these comments and how they show the care of the Lord through his church!

Hebrews 10:23-25
Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful. And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds. Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.

All of the comments the past couple of days have spurred me on and encouraged me! Keep it going people!
